The redesigned 2019 BMW X5 once again raises the standards of compact crossover SUVs in the luxury sector. Also decorated with the TwinPower logo, the X5 xDrive50i’s 4.4 L V8 engine spits out 456 hp and 479 lb-ft. Both propulsion systems are mated to the STEPTRONIC automatic transmission, which creates up to eight gear speeds. The BMW X7 xDrive40i trim has the same powertrain as the X5 xDrive40i model.
Additionally, the 4.4 L TwinPower engine is standard in the X7 xDrive50i edition. Both BMW models have the updated Intelligent All-Wheel Drive that creates enhanced traction. These luxury crossover SUVs are also loaded with other stabilizing utilities, like the Dynamic Traction Control and Dynamic Stability Control. Featuring two axles, the BMW X7 gets extra support from a self-leveling air suspension.
As a compact model, the 2019 BMW X5 naturally looks swift and lightweight. Contours and other aerodynamic lines accentuate the sleek body of this lavish crossover SUV. A roof spoiler with a center brake light complements the elegant profile. A high-gloss black finish decorates the signature Aero Blades, and the exhaust tips are covered in chrome. Additionally, the X5’s roof rails have an elegant satin aluminum finish. You’ll find such exterior styling features on the 2019 BMW X7. Both models also flaunt fog lights and the Adaptive Lights that are powered by LED. These lavish family cars may be painted in Black Sapphire Metallic. Some of the X7’s exclusive paint options include Vermont Bronze and Alpine White. The X5 could be painted in Phytonic Blue, a stunning color that’s inspired by the natural hue of pristine lakes.
Available in the 2019 BMW X5 and X7, each screen in the Live Cockpit Professional system measures just more than 12 inches. This digital instrument panel is connected to the next-generation iDrive 7.0 software. You may use the iDrive touchpad to precisely control the multimedia system. A head-up display is also available in the 2019 X7 edition. Both BMW models boast a GPS navigation console with a hard drive that stores up to 20 GB of data. The BMW ConnectedDrive Services offer class-leading connectivity in the cockpits of these high-end crossover SUVs. Additional apps and services are provided by the Connected Package Professional. Made by Harman Kardon, a 16-speaker sound system is installed in both BMW editions. The electric amplifier in this signature sound system generates 464 acoustic watts. This premium audio system is tuned to play SiriusXM All Access and HD Radio.
